We had a few weeks to spend in the good ole USA while getting visas for upcoming travels so we decided to make time to catch up with old friends. Becky was able to link up with a few friends around Boston and then we made a drive down to Washington, DC.
Luckily for us, we were able to meet up with about 10 old friends and meet new spouses and children. We were also able to catch a Chinese New Year celebration in Boston, MA , St. Patrick’s Day parade in Alexandria, VA, and pop over to the National Mall in D.C. for a quick visit.
Our time in the States was admittedly way too short, but it was nice to visit with good friends and family before heading off on our next adventure (a 6 month overland trip from Istanbul to Singapore).
