Uruguay – Colonia del Sacramento

Since we had plenty of time in Buenos Aires, we decided to join our friends for a quick getaway to Colonia del Sacramento for the day which was an easy ferry ride away. It was still as charming as we remembered from our first visit in 2009 but sadly, the vintage cars scattered throughout the old historical center have since been relocated. There was still plenty to keep us busy for a day excursion and we were glad that we paid this charming town a repeat visit.

We hopped on the first ferry to Colonia and it was surprisingly devoid of tourists for the first few hours
